Sustainability, perpetuated since 1371.
Before plastic, nothing was disposable. The Maison simply never changed.
True luxury does not produce waste – it produces objects that are kept. A Maison founded on a six-century-old gesture does not think in seasons or landfill. It thinks in decades: an Écrin that stays, a pearl that disappears completely, clothes that outlast fashion.

THE OPPOSITE OF DISPOSABLE
The Écrin that stays
A household that buys detergent by the jug throws away jug after jug, year after year. The Davyn Écrin is made of tinplate, a material that can be recycled endlessly without losing quality, and it is an object designed never to end up in the bin. It is made to be kept: filled with your next laundry pearls, or living a second life on your shelf. An object made to be kept is the opposite of waste.

CONCENTRATED, NOT DILUTED
The Maison does not ship water
A liquid detergent is mostly water – bottled in plastic, loaded onto lorries, carried from one end of the country to the other. The laundry pearl is dry and concentrated: the water it needs is already in your washing machine. Its membrane dissolves completely in the wash and leaves nothing behind – no bottle, no measuring cap, no residue.

THE APOTHECARY’S MEASURE
One pearl. The exact dose.
The first waste of liquid detergent is the pouring: a generous hand, a sticky cap, a dose half as large again as needed. The pearl settles the matter: one pearl, one wash, measured once by the Maison and never again by you. Nothing spills, nothing is lost, nothing goes down the drain needlessly.
Cool water, by choice
Heating the water is what uses the most energy in a wash. The pearl is formulated to work fully from 30 °C: the most frugal programme on your washing machine is also the one the Maison recommends for the sillage. Cool water, clean laundry, a clear conscience.
Clothes that last
No chlorine, no optical brighteners, no harsh salts: fibres age slowly and keep their feel. This is the quiet heart of the matter – the most sustainable garment is the one you keep. A Maison that perfumes your clothes for years has every interest in your clothes lasting for years.
AFTER THE LAST PEARL
The second lives of the Écrin
Those who own one rarely retire their Écrin. Neither will you.

Own the Écrin. Keep it for ever.
